If all connectivity looks good on both the remote and local routers and customers voice is not working at all, I would suggest an extended ping between Loopback 323's on both routers and then try pinging the primary Gatekeeper from the local router.

phone. You should do the command again and you will either see the state change to idle/idle for end of call or
seized/seized for call in progress. If this state remains for a period of time then you do have a problem. In this
example the local user has picked up the phone but it is not getting picked up at the other end.

1. The bottom 4 entries are very similiar....The highlighted line means that if the router gets anything that starts with 791 it will send it down port 1/0:0 as the first preference, the line below states that as a 2nd preference use port 2/0:0. The following 2 lines state a similiar thing except this is for phone numbers starting with 792. What we can ascertain from these four lines is that the local numbers for this site start with 791 and 792.
2. The .T states that for anything other that 791 or 792 then the router will need to get more information from the Gatekeepers.The 2 IP addresses are the Gatekeepers. The Gatekeepers keep dial plans for all customers. More information on the Gatekeepers below.

GATEKEEPERS
The Gatekeepers keep a list of all numbers for each customer. When a customer router receives a request for a call and it is mapped to '.T' it will request more information from the Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper translates a telephone number prefix to an Ip address and advises the router, the router will then route the traffic as per normal and the Gatekeepers participation is finished for that call.

1. Go to VPN data and find your customer - click on the customer
2. Click on VPN site data and this will list all the voice routers for that customer.
3. Click on the router you require
4. You can now go through the tabs to find out more information.
Best info is under the 'Site Gateway Group' which shows the max amount of calls allowed at one time, and the IP address of Loopback323 (voice loopback). This other good tab is 'Site Extensions'.
