We run this course for those learners that aren’t yet fully sure of what career they’d like to follow.

Vocational Studies Meaning In Hindi

In addition to the mandatory units on self assessment and career progression, it includes a variety of units from career areas such as childcare, hair & beauty, tourism, business administration and art & design. These provide a taster of various careers that should assist in making the decision as to what to do the following year – whether it be further training or employment.

Vocational studies are in general more practically oriented compared to college or university studies. Our studies have been developed in collaboration with our partners in the industry. Our teachers have solid experience from the industry and a practical approach to their field of study. Prior to the conclusion of their vocational studies, inmates were required to complete a foundation course known as “Tools for Success” which comprises 13 modules on essential skills for acquiring and maintaining a job, including the development of CVs, interviewing skills, and time management.

This one-year course is run within the framework of the Study Programme. You will work towards a Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies awarded by Edexcel supplemented by periods of work placement to enhance the experience.

In common with all of our vocational training courses, support in maths and English is provided for those learners that haven’t achieved GCSE grade C in school. This can take the form of resit GCSEs or functional skills.
